It's Funny What Mages Don't Know

Keste was attempting to finish the trick or treating across Azeroth last night when he asked me something.

"How do you get to the Exodar?"

I stared blankly. I should know this right? It's where I call home. It's where I'm from. It's been a long while since I've had to travel there by any fashion other than teleport. All I had was a less than helpful, "I think there's a boat somewhere."

I guess I should of offered to teleport him but I was busy farming primals for an enchant I needed. He got there anyway so no harm done.

You know, I didn't even notice that they changed the Boat paths after the patch.

Most noticeably, the Auberdine Boat that goes to Menethil goes straight to Stormwind! When I started up a Dranei Paladin, I wasted 5g for a port to Shat so I could get to E. Kingdoms for the LVL 10-20 quests in Westfall without having to corpse drag myself through the Wetlands.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that the Menethil Boat went to Theramore when I pugged a Wailing Caverns group. Corpse dragged through there as well =(

As a horde I have no clue what boat goes where. I suppose if you swap the question around and ask how to get to Silvermoon its easy enough. Go to UC and take the Teleport Orb to the right after you enter the front gates. No having to wait for Zeplin (or boat)

Hahaha Krizzly!

Aurdon, I think Horde is slightly easier. If you're standing on a zepplin tower they at least announce when the flying boat thing arrives and where it's going. "The Zepplin to Undercity has arrived!" Something like that would be nice. Although as I noticed talking with my Horde friends; it's easier for Alliance to get to Horde starting zones than vice versa. Getting to Darnassus or Exodar to explore those zones is a pain! A warlock friend described the measures she took to stow away on a boat and it's just plain silly!
